After a stressful January, where we both were trying to decide between new jobs, we (almost spontaneously) took a random mid week day off.
Working 10 hour days as standard and using weekends to recover, it was a surprise how much we could do in a day, even starting with a lie in, and not feel frantic by the end.
After a slow start, and brunch on Southwark Street, we took a walk around the inns of court ending at temple church, before back to London bridge and a warming hot chocolate. Back home, we curled up with the cats to watch a movie, before Nicola headed out to her dance class. The day ended with a picnic dinner and a much needed early night.
It was a wonderful mid week break, and a reminder that when we actually make an effort to get out in London, it’s really worth the while….
